Google Adsense Information

So you think it's high time you made a bit of dough from the internet? Well what you need is some google adsense information, and lucky for you I'm an old pro. Before I give out google adsense information, I want to make sure you have a couple of things straight. #1 is enough original content. Google won't even give you an account if you don't have a decent website with some content posted to it already. #2 is honesty and integrity. Google will very quickly ban your account if you decided that it might be fun to sit back and click your own links all day. They track your IP address, and I don't blame them for doing it.

Google Adsense Information : How Many Ads?

Any up-to-date google adsense information will tell you that you can have THREE link units THREE ad units, and TWO search boxes. That's a lot of ads. Too many really unless you have a blog that's ten miles long from top to bottom. When I give out google adsense information, I like to push the less is more technique. Two or three well placed ads in total per content page is my happy medium.

Google Adsense Information : Where To Put my Ads?

Anywhere with high visibility. An important piece of google adsense information says that you can't cover up any part of the ad. So be careful that you don't have layers or pictures overlapping on to the ads. You also can't ask people to click, or even say visit our sponsors. The ads just sit there, and if people want to visit them of their own free will, they will click. New google adsense information suggests that you try moving your ads all around your site to see what areas get clicked on the most. It's kind of like a neat psychology experiment. Remember the object isn't to 'trick' anyone into clickng, it's just about getting the right people to notice the ads.

Google Adsense Information : Where Do the Ads Come From?

Here's a really neat piece of google adsense information. Google computers actually 'read' the text on your website. They then anylise it to figure out what that page is about based on the number of times you use certain words called keywords. Then, they take that information back to the list of advertisers, and pick out the ones that have matching keywords. The whole process usually takes less than 10 minutes! Amazing considering the number of websites and sheer amount of new content and new advertisers that google has to consider every day.

Will it Blend? : Styling Your Ads to Match Your Site

I love the fact that you can customize your ads. It makes everything look so nice. Note that google does give you the option of having text ads, image ads, or an ad that might display either one depending on when you visit it. Obviously image ads won't blend in with your website's decor, so we have to focus on the text ads. I use a tool called ColorPix to eye-drop my current websites hex colours, then pop them into google's customize palette.

Ok, Now what?

Go to google and make an account (Sign Up For Google Adsense Here) They will ask for basic information, and you'll need to give them tax information and, if you like, your direct deposit information for your bank account as well. Wait up to 10 minutes for ads to start appearing. That's it! Don't have a website yet? Check out our web hosting section to get the goods on free or paid hosting.
